Brett Connellan is a surfer, long distance paddle-boarder, shark attack survivor, filmmaker, motivational speaker, storyteller, mental health advocate and athlete. On top of all this, he is now an ultramarathon runner as well.
Brett’s life would be changed forever when he was attacked by a shark while surfing at Bombo Beach near Kiama, NSW.
In this episode, you’ll learn how Brett has embodied the lessons and wisdom gained through his incredible resilience and post-traumatic growth after the shark attack which have catapulted him into a purpose driven life.
You’ll also learn how his story and his life is now dedicated to helping others learn what they are capable of achieving, and helping them to realise that we only get one shot at this thing called 'life'.

The 'post-race blues' are a common and natural experience which most athletes will experience at some point in their journey. We need to talk about, normalise and understand them more in the running community to help people prepare and strategise for them in advance.
This episode will help you to do that.

I’m honoured to have Garry Wheeler on the podcast. At 65 years of age Garry is a shining example to us all of how to write your own definition of what success is, decide on your own goals and how to know yourself as an athlete and a person. I learned so much from Garry in this interview and I know you will too.
