One of the simplest and most impactful ways to improve performance is by learning to control and master your self talk.
This episode will help you understand the different types of self talk, and then use it to help your running and training.
It is packed with examples of self talk used by athletes so you can start using a new self talk plan on your next run.

This is one of my favourite topics in psychology and mental skills training. Learn how to shift your mind from being in a 'threat' state to a 'challenge' state so you can perform at a higher level in training, at work, or in life.
In this episode you will learn a variety of mental skills to help you become aware of when you have shifted into an unhelpful emotional state for training or competing, how to shift it, and more importantly, how to understand yourself on a deeper level.

Learn how to build your Athletic Identity to help you unlock your potential as a runner, triathlete or in any field of performance.
In the 2 races immediately after Iearnt this stuff, it skyrocketed my performance and I had a 2nd place followed by a 1st place finish. You may have other goals other than coming first - but if you apply the tools in this episode, your performance and enjoyment WILL improve.

In this special episode, Mark shares his journey from being a non-runner in 2016 to running for 24 hours on a treadmill attempting to break a world record only 6 years later. His adventures in dreaming up huge challenges, and the way he brings people together in a truly amazing story. I hope Mark's story of how he started running, and what he has done since will inspire you as much as it has me.

In the last episode, (#19) I unpacked 20 different ways to create feelings of anxiety before a race.
Over these next 3 episodes, I'll be sharing practical strategies to help you deal with each of the 20 ways, so you can reduce or destroy your pre-race anxiety altogether.

It's a strange title for an episode - but in this episode I teach you all of the ways I do, or have done pre-race anxiety in the past so that you can identify how you may also do the same.
If we can understand and build the self-awareness that pre - race anxiety is something that we 'do', as opposed to something that happens to us, then we can build strategies for how to overcome it.
I hope that by me baring my soul on this episode, I can help you to understand and address any pre-race anxiety that you may have (or do!).
